Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking an appointment or using any services provided by Olive Naturopathy (ABN to be confirmed). By booking an appointment, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Olive Naturopathy provides naturopathic consultations, functional health testing guidance, and nutrition and lifestyle coaching. These services are complementary in nature and are not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a registered medical doctor or specialist.
Naturopathy is not a replacement for conventional medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department immediately.
By booking a consultation, you acknowledge that:
Olive Naturopathy reserves the right to refer you to another healthcare provider if your needs fall outside the scope of naturopathic practice.
Booking: All appointments are confirmed once full payment or a deposit has been received.
Cancellations: Please provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. To secure your appointment, 50% of the consultation fee is required as a prepayment at the time of booking — this is non-refundable for cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice or for no-shows. The remaining balance is due at the time of your appointment. If something unavoidable comes up, please reach out as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Late arrivals: If you arrive late, the appointment will still end at the scheduled time. The full fee applies.
Free 15-minute Symptom Audit: No cancellation fee applies to complimentary calls. Please provide at least 2 hours' notice as a courtesy so the time can be offered to another client.
Current fees are listed on the Services page and are subject to change. You will be notified of any fee changes prior to your appointment.
Payment is due at the time of booking or immediately following the consultation as agreed. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Naturopathic consultations are not currently covered by Medicare. Some private health funds cover naturopathy — please check with your insurer. Receipts are provided on request.
All consultations are conducted via video call. You are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space for your appointment.
Olive Naturopathy is not responsible for technical difficulties outside our control. If a session is interrupted due to connection issues, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or continue by phone at no additional cost.
All personal and health information collected is treated with strict confidentiality and handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles.
Your information will not be shared with third parties without your written consent, except where required by law or in circumstances where there is a serious and imminent risk to your health or safety.
Session notes are stored securely. You may request access to your records at any time.
Where functional testing is recommended, you will be provided with information about the testing company and associated costs prior to ordering. Testing costs are separate from consultation fees and are paid directly to the testing provider.
Olive Naturopathy interprets test results as part of your overall health picture. Results are not a medical diagnosis. You are encouraged to share results with your GP.
Olive Naturopathy will at all times act in good faith and with professional care. However, naturopathic services are provided on the understanding that outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Olive Naturopathy's liability for any loss or damage arising from services provided is limited to the fee paid for the relevant consultation.
Olive Naturopathy operates in accordance with the NHAA (Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia) Code of Ethics. If you have a complaint about the service you received, please contact us directly in the first instance at hello@olivenaturopathy.com.au. Unresolved complaints may be escalated to the NHAA.
Olive Naturopathy reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
